no me afecte. Trabajo para quererme.
Y me siento mal.
Yo no
S.Jeanne

Nowadays, hating your body seems to be fashionable.
Society imposes stereotypes which are imposible to
achieve (basically because photoshop makes more magic than Harry Potter) and we
allow them to make us believe that we have to achieve that perfection.
And that's why I've created this section. Because it's
really hard to put up with all that pressure when you're 15, 16, 17... And you
don't know who you are. Because you try to follow suit the trends so you are
not excluded. You try to be loved by the makeup you wear, the mobile phone you
have or the clothes you wear. And you achieve it. They love you. Nevertheless,
you don't feel comfortable in your own skin, because you know that wearing
Brandy Melville clothes and Vans is not your style. But you do it, so society
will accept you.
And sometimes to feel that way you need to be slim and
believe that perfection is the only way, and you try to achieve it in the worst
possible way.
And all the pressure overflows you. And you set
yourself free from it in the worst possible way.
But perfection isn't the only way. We insist on being
perfect because models "are perfect". But they are not, in order to
have those bodies they work out as a beast. And those photos are taken at their
best. But you compare your just woken up look with their best ones.
I, personally, have allowed that pressure and that
desire to be perfect to get under my skin. And I'm working hard to shake it
out. I'm working hard because I want to love myself.
However, it feels wrong. I feel awful watching the
plague of pics with girls self-harming, starving themselves and hating their
bodies, hating what they are. Hating your body is not the right thing to
do.
Everything written here are tip so either you can take
them or not, I have done it the best I could in order to help you. Because I
know how hard is to feel wrong about yourself and having no one to talk to. I
felt like I had no one and that's why I don't want the same for you. You are
not alone.
I also want you to know that if you ever need to talk
with someone you can talk to me. Up there, where it says contacta, you have my mail, twitter, facebook... open 24/7 for
whatever you need. I may not solve your problems but I'm going to listen to you
and, sometimes, that's what we need, someone who listens to us. I'm gonna be
100% confidential.
The next love yourself post will be uploaded next
Tuesday.
Love you tons,
S.Jeanne
